What is the maximum cutting depth of the Blue Ripper G2?

The G2 is our deepest cutting saw at 3” deep with a new blade. We can craft a custom guard tailored to fit a 12-inch blade, allowing for cuts of up to 4 inches in depth. What blade do we recommend to use with the Blue Ripper G2?

Our best performing blade is the 10” incursion blade found here. Make multiple passes with the blade lowering the depth each time. This will get you through the hardest of stones with a high quality of cut with minimal chipping.

How do I align the Blue Ripper G2?

What is the Blue Ripper G2’s cutting speed?

The cutting speed of the G2 is about 6 ft per minute. We suggest doing multiple passes for harder stones.

What blade size will fit on the Blue Ripper G2?

What is the arbor size of the G2?

The G2 has a spindle shaft arbor size of ⅞”.

Why does my belt keep breaking?

This can be caused by the bearings in your spindle mount assembly failing (The blue part connected to your grinder). 

How can I check if my spindle bearings are okay?

Rotating the spindle shaft when the saw is off can give you an idea of your bearing life. If you notice any sort of grinding, crunching, or catching as you spin your spindle shaft may indicate your bearings need to be replaced. Please see our spindle repair kit here.

What types of stone can the Blue Ripper G2 cut?

The G2 can cut almost any type of stone. However, for harder materials such as Natural Quartzite or Dekton, we recommend step cutting. Start by making the first pass with only the depth of the diamond on your blade (About ¼” deep). Then make deeper cuts to finish the cutting of the slab. This allows for thinner blades to stay in a track and not bend.

How often/when should I align my Blue Ripper Rail Saw?

It is good to quickly check your alignment of your Blue Ripper G2 using our alignment tool here. Between every cut or every job, a quick check of the alignment should be done to ensure a clean cut.
